Alfredo C. Robles, Jr. is Professor of International Studies at De La Salle University, the Philippines. He has a PhD in International and European Studies from the Université de Paris-I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and a PhD in Political Science from Syracuse University, United States. He is the author of French Theories of Regulation and Conceptions of the International Division of Labour (Macmillan, 1994) and The Political Economy of Interregional Relations: ASEAN and the EU (Ashgate Publishing Co., 2004). He has taught at universities and other institutions in France, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Spain, the United States and Vietnam.
