Ambassador Dr. András Balogh is currently the Chief Advisor on international strategy to the former Prime Minister of Hungary. He also serves as coordinator of the National Development Task Force of the Government of Hungary. Ambassador Balogh is the author of more than 150 studies and books on international relations and modern Asian history. In addition, he also works as Professor heading the Modern World History Department at Budapest University "Etovos Lorand" and the vice-president of Hungarian Foreign Political Society.
Ambassador Dr. Balogh was appointed as Ambassador to India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Maldives and Afghanistan.
He earned his Ph.D. in Development Studies at Budapest University "Eotvos Lorand" in 1976 and his D.Sc. in History from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Ambassador Dr. Balogh is ASEF Governor to Hungary.
